Certified Jewellery Appraisals
What is a Jewellery Appraisal?
A jewellery appraisal is a written professional opinion of the authenticity, quality, design and approximate value of a piece of jewellery at that point in time. Measurable specifications including precious metals, gemstone measurements and grades, a photo, and ownership information are also documented.
Why Should You Have Your Jewellery Appraised?
Obtaining an appraisal is recommended for insurance purposes including retail replacement due to loss, theft or damage, probate or estate settlement.
Which Jewellery Items Should Be Appraised?
Appraisals can be issued for plenty more pieces beyond a diamond engagement ring. We recommend many others like precious gemstone rings: ruby, emerald, sapphires set in white or yellow gold settings. Diamond and gemstone tennis bracelets, pendants, and elaborate necklaces. High gold content pieces like 18-karat (18k or .750) and 22-karat (22k or .917) are also encouraged.
How Much Does A Certified Jewellery Appraisal Cost?
Appraisal fees may vary depending on the service required. However, most certified jewellery appraisals available from Noyes Jewellers will cost you $39.99 plus applicable taxes.
How Long Does It Take?
Appraisals are performed by first come, first serve basis. Please allow up to 1 week.
Certified Jewellery Appraisal details will always include:
• Owner's name(s)
• Type, karat, & weight of metal
• Grade, weight, & measurements of gemstone(s) &/or diamond(s)
• Image(s) of Jewellery
• Suggested insurance value - Earrings
